The
National
Transit
Benefit
Association
(NTBA) is
an alliance
of transit
providers,
vanpool
companies,
government
organizations
and businesses
that support
the provision
of transit
benefits
to commuters
across the
country.
NTBA's
Mission
The NTBA
is focused on developing
and providing a framework
to expand the use of the
transit tax-free benefit,
pursuant to the Federal
tax code, with consistency
in all major markets across
the country.
The current
Federal Tax Code implications
relative to transit benefits,
offer strong incentives
for the transportation
& vanpool industry
to encourage commuters
across the country to
use transit and vanpooling
as commuting options.
The formation
of the National
Transit Benefit Association,
as an alliance of transit/vanpool
providers and employers
who support commute options
for their employees, will
standardize ways the tax-free
benefit can be promoted.
Our
Members
NTBA
members include transit
agencies, vanpool providers,
private businesses, trade
associations, local and
state governments, metropolitan
planning agencies, and
businesses involved in
providing benefit programs.
A
Board that represents
various member groups
from all areas of the
United States directs
the association.
